What makes you decide to watch a particular film?

Is it the plot? The actors? The popularity of said film?

I usually decide to watch something with my favourite actors first. Then I look at the plot. And then if it’s a really popular film, I give it a go

It's usually a trailer at a previous screening. If I like the look of it (and they haven't given away the whole plot) I will remember when it comes out and go to see the film. Or one of my friends recommends it on Facebook. I do like certain actors but it doesn't always transmit to a great film (Julia Roberts and George Clooney - Ticket to Paradise. Say no more)

I always google the reviews first (after me and DP wasting hours of our lives on shite films), anything below a 7 is a nay.
Then again, Midsommar was rated highly and it was the most boring film I've ever seen, so my method isn't foolproof.

Always the plot/premise. Sometimes who’s in it or buzz about it, or having seen a trailer, will make me look, but it’s always the plot - why would I watch a film if the plot/premise wasn’t interesting to me?
