I am going on holiday next week, and I really hate flying. Please recommend a fantastic magazine to distract me.

I like art, theatre, travel, science, history and current affairs. Not so interested in fashion, gardening, cooking. I don't mind a bit of celebrity gossip, or true stories.
Thank you 😊

The New Scientist has some fascinating in depth articles and is an entertaining read.

Thank you. I used to to read the new scientist regularly, but I haven't picked one up for years. I'll take a look.

BBC history magazine.

@Thingsthatgo I always read Private Eye on the plane!! Doesn't fit your criteria but I often know about scandals months before they hit!! I mix it up with woman and home- which doesn't fit your brief

If you are pro EU (and I can't presume) the new European often has some great features on all the things you have mentioned

Download readly (I imagine they have a free trial for a week or a month) and then you can read loads!

Vanity Fair ticks a lot of your boxes.

I like the Financial Times weekend magazine. Great cross-section of topics.

Spiral1Spiral234 · 10/10/2023 15:45

National Geographic magazine

Thingsthatgo · 11/10/2023 11:30

Amazing. Thank you! I shall check them all out.
