Mobility Scooter in Rain

As the title, if you/family member use a mobility scooter what do you use on it if it's needed in wet weather?

I figure I need to get a cover if I need to leave it outside work, but what is best for actually riding it in the rain?

My dad wears a big waterproof coat type thing with hood that is so long it covers his legs and half the scooter. It's black and we tease him saying he looks like a flying nun nut it works! Got it on Amazon
