BMI, height and dress size?

I'm 5ft 3 and had a BMI of 29 a year ago. I've lost a couple of stone and my BMI is now 24. I've never worn a size 14 as I was in denial about how fat I was but size 12 is still quite tight on me! I am still wearing the same clothes as I was a year ago. I've just bought a new pair of size 12 jeans, and they're disappointingly tight. Admittedly, I wouldn't have been able to get them on at all a year ago, but I'd have just returned them and found some jeans in a 12 that I did fit in 😂

I know about vanity sizing and the huge inconsistencies across different shops, but I thought I'd feel fairly "slim" by now, and I don't! I feel like I'd have to lose another two stone to be a size 10.

Sorry this is a bit rambly... I'm just interested really, what BMI/height/size are you? And what BMI do I need to aim for to be a size 10?!

Hi @YearOfThe I’m 5’4” bmi also of 24 I’m a size 10/12 depending on which shop I shop in, the sizing can vary, in Next, for example, I’m 11/12 in Jeans top half always go with a size 12 just to be in the safe side, more comfortable but well done in losing your weight👏

I'm 5'3. Weigh 7st. BMI 17.3. Size 8 is generally a bit big for me now, so I'm probably a size 6, although most shops don't do this. For me, a size 10 was around 8st5-9st5, depending on body shape/fitness.

Do you work out OP? ( eg weights). I have not lost weight over the last couple of weeks ( as I have been doing) but some jeans are now fitting when they didn’t 2 weeks ago. I’m currently BMI of 29… a size 16 and 5’6”

I'd like to know this, too, as a kind of vague reference.

I'm 173cm
Medium-heavy build
BMI 24
M&S sizes: 16 on top, 12-14 bottoms
Designer: 18-22 top and bottom (20 would be baggy on hip)
Measurements: 112, 90, 108
My gigantic waist is a problem with clothes that are supposed to fit. I'm fully embracing the oversize trend! And hoping fashion might discover the Shed silhouette 😂
