Halloween party food ideas for primary kids

Looking for party food that is fun, for infant primary aged kids for a Halloween party. Bonus points if it takes seconds to put together or can be made the day before.

Hotdogs.

Apple bobbing might be frowned upon a bit more after covid, but that's an option for a simple extra filling - if not toffee apples pre-prepared.

Have a look at Foodbites on insta, she has loads of amazing ideas, mostly fruit and veg.

Cocktail sausages

Marshmallows, bag of dark chocolate chips. Use the chocolate chips as eyes and a mouth = Marshamallow ghosts

Rice crispy buns made with white chocolate coloured orange. You can add eyeballs if you have them.

Mummy sausage rolls
Graveyard puddings (Angel delight with ground up Oreo's and a rich tea biscuit). Can make marshmallow/meringue ghosts as well.
Vomiting watermelon (fruit salad spilling out of a Jack o'lantern carved watermelon)

Remember they don’t actually eat much!

Mind you after looking at the suggestions above, I’m not surprised! Things have moved up a notch!

Satsumas with faces on.

We do worms and eyeballs (spaghetti and meatballs) and Green jelly (snot).

Pinterest is great for ideas. My kids love hotdog mummies (with bought pastry), cauldron cakes (little chocolate muffins with green icing on top and some green pearlescent balls as bubbles) and pretzel ghosts (mini pretzels dipped in white chocolate with sugar googly eyes). They're all a doddle to make. My kids are 13 and 11 now and will be making them themselves.

I make swamp jelly - basically green jelly with some creepy crawly jelly sweets you get this time of year floating in it. Then when it’s set crumble a flake over the top and a few more jelly bugs/frogs/snakes on top.

Vanilla icecream then get Halloween sprinkles, gummy worms, vampire teeth foamy sweets and raspberry sauce (blood) let them top their sundae as they like.
