Is my passport valid for travel to Europe?

I think it's okay but I need some reassurance please!

It was issued on 30 June 2014 and officially expires 31st March 2025, but apparently those last nine months are meaningless these days?

I am going to Spain for a week at the start of November.

Is it definitely okay?

November 2023? Yes, fine.

I am in Spain at the moment. My passport expires Feb 2024 so I am just within the 3 months required. My boarding pass flagged it when I went through departures but I was already aware of it. You are well within the timescale.

Absolutely, I'm on hol in Europe just now and mine expires, Jan 16th 24!, you need 3 mths from the end of your stay, I have cut it pretty fine but still OK(by 1 day)

RockaLock · 09/10/2023 12:28

It should, be fine for 10 years after the date of issue, so until 30 June 2024 (although note that some countries will require you to have 3-6 months left on it when you travel).

But yes, your months from June 2024 to the expiry date in March 2025 are pretty worthless nowadays, so you should probably think of the expiry date as being 30 June 2024 and renew accordingly.

Passoporto · 09/10/2023 12:43

Ah thank you all so much! Yes, I will renew it early next year so it's ready for next time.

Expiry for entry into Europe is 10 years from the issue date I.e. 30 June 2024

You need 3 months remaining from the date you leave the EU and that's when you can look at the actual expiry date
