Inspiration for birthday gift for 4 year old boy

I have a friend who lives on the other side of the country. I like to send a birthday present to her son but don't know what he's into. From photos I don't think he's into characters really (he went through a Spider-Man stage last year but seems to be over it!) .
Most children I know are quite a bit older.

Please inspire me. Budget around £30

Look on the wicked uncle website.

Ds is 4 and is obsessed with construction vehicles but also taking things apart/putting back together (grandad DIY influence) so we've got this for him for Christmas:
Take apart construction

I know it's very stereotypical of a boy but he's also into dinosaurs, animals, lego and jigsaws.

He also started helping dh with the gardening this summer, so we got him some gardening tools for his birthday.

You can also never go wrong with books - the works currently have a 10 books for £10 deal on for children's books.

Kinetic sand, the construction set is a great set at that price. Hours of fun, and no mess!

4+ Lego set. I’d probably go for a marvel one or a Ninjago one given his Spidey phase.

One of the classic Lego box of bricks. Ds4 is really into Lego now, always building cars or planes or little houses.
