Anyone Abandoned sertraline attempt after four days - when did you feel better?

I took my last dose yesterday morning as advised by gp as Side effects are just not bearable. I still feel like I can't eat anything, shaky, heart racing, on the verge of another panic attack constantly.

anyone else stopped after a similar period and if so how long did it take to feel like a person again?

Hi op, were you feeling all of those symptoms before you started the sertraline?
Have you asked your gp about beta blockers, they could really help you with most of those symptoms.
Sertraline is notorious for making you feel worse before you feel better, at least 2 weeks of unpleasant side effects from what i can remember.
I was prescribed diazepam at the same time as sertraline (14 doses of 2mg) just to help with the side effects!

It took me about 8 days to get back to how I felt pre sertraline and probably 14 before I started to feel better. I've been on it well over a year now and it's a marked improvement on how I felt before. Changed my life tbh, however it's not for everyone so best to speak to your GP and mental health professionals about it
