What's your office like?

Just general curiosity really. Is it open plan, how big is it, do you hot desk, what sort of perks (if any) do you have?
Ours is a huge open plan office, couple of hundred people , spread out in a large square over one floor. Don't think there's ever free food or anything.
Hot desk, several kitchens where you can make tea or coffee/eat, no canteen or anything, but there's a café downstairs.

There is am onside cafe to use but its so busy with long queues. We do have 2 shops onsite to buy food from. We have a microwave and toaster to use in the staff room

Large six floor building, I'm on the top. In our floor there are three different 'wings' and in my wing there's about 16 desks that are not hot desks and a large meeting room
It does have a subsidised canteen in the building which is the best perk. £3 meal deal for a hot meal, can of juice and bag of crisps/chocolate bar
Free fruit and veg

It's a former farm building, fully restored and modernised but retains olde world charm. Being on the end has had extra windows added so is bright, warm and sunny (can get too hot in summer, but we just open the windows and prop the doors), but I prefer it to the other farm buildings because it's lighter and sunny. We have a kitchen area off one side, and the loos the other side of the kitchen area, there's a larger area out the back which is more warehousey, but where we are is perfect for the 4 of us. I'd describe it as cheerful, we all like working here, it's quiet, we can park right outside, we have great views across the fields, it is only 10 minutes to the shops too, should we need anything.

It's lush.
We get free beer one day a week. Can bring pets in one day a week. Free tea, coffee, fruit, snacks, can hot desk or have your own, really nicely done out, proper ergonomic set up, separate kitchen with proper cooking facilities, loads of plants etc. Everything is ethically sourced or sustainable. We're a B Corp so it's really important to us.

Open plan, no one has an office except the CEO and even she shares it with her PA.

We have lot of break out spaces, meeting rooms and private pods for taking calls.

Each floor has a kitchen with fridges, a dishwasher, one of those hot/cold taps, a coffee machine that is free and a variety of free tea bags. We also get free milk.

There is a subsidised canteen with seating areas that does breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, hot drinks and snacks. We also have microwaves there so you can go down and heat your own food.

We have cycle storage and showers in the basement.

We have integrated wifi so your laptop and phone can connect to wherever you are in the building.

Edited

Snap. Plus we have a Wellness Suite where you can get a massage, a library and lovely outside seating area. It's mad

I have quite a nice office. There are 2 of us in it and it's a reasonable size for 2.
Big window with a nice view (car park but then mountains behind the car park).
It's a bit old and shabby but clean and practical.
I'm not in the UK and it's boiling in summer and freezing in winter.

Reasonably quiet though and I get on fine with the woman I share it with. She's chattier than me but not too bad.

There is a communal staff room just opposite with kettle, coffee machine, fridge, microwave, etc.
No food or drinks provided. We bring our own and there are vending machines on the ground floor.

I like it. Feels like my "work home". Also have it to myself on Fridays as my colleague doesn't work Fridays.

Open plan, and hot desking but in reality there are some of us who sit at the same desks each time we're in and they're unoffically known in our team as 'our desks' and people only sit at them if we're not in(we're usually the first ones in though so always get the same desks).

We have a coffee shop and canteen both subsidised. It's a massive building but we use so little of it now.

Network rail, huge building over 4 floors, 900+ people but hybrid working so the building is never full, open plan, supposed to be hot desking but our team has our own desks.
Breakout areas, bean bags, free tea, coffee and milk.
Subsidised cafe (Costa style) on the first floor but you can take your own food and drink in, take your laptop and use a booth for work or meetings.
Pretty pleasant really

itsgoingtobeabumpyride · 08/10/2023 17:00

Oh yeah, we have showers, hairdryers etc too
