I'm so sick of it all

I went into work on Monday. I worked all day Mon, Tues, Wednesday. I was asked to work on Saturday and I was led to believe it was going to be a half day. I continued my work week on Thursday and again on Friday. I went into work at 7 o clock this morning. I thought I was going to finish work at 2 or 3 at the very most. Nope. It was 8 pm at night by the time I was allowed to finish. There is an element of torture about the day. If I was a man I would have been allowed to finish hours ago. I would have been home at 5 or 6 at the very latest. Not a 13 hour day on top of a 40 hour week. I never signed up for that.

I am exhausted. My back is sore. I have a migraine that I can't sleep or rest on. I have my second day of my period and not enough period supplies on me for the day. The pad that I put on at 6 o clock this morning, I'm still wearing it.

I am just so sick of it all.

Not to mention, 8 missed calls on my phone as if I am walking around in a park all day long.

First of all you were doing them a favour...did you ask to go when you had done the half day?

Why would 'a man' have left earlier?

Do you work in care by any chance?

What does your contract say regarding your working hours and pattern of work?

Spookymormonhelldream · 07/10/2023 21:04

Why would a man have left? Can you not leave? Do you work for Amazon or something? I believe their working conditions are horrendous.

Make a change, op. Nothing will improve until you decide to go in a different direction.

This makes zero sense, why would a man be allowed to leave but you cannot.
