Has anyone successfully corrected very bad posture?

My posture is terrible and very fixed, ie when I try to stand up very straight, shoulders/head back, it's still awful. My back and shoulders are very round, but worst of all is that my neck is very turtle like. I don't have money for a private physio, but am looking at exercises online. I'm just wondering if they will improve things or simply stop things from getting worse?

Following. I've got very bad posture, even as a young child my shoulders were very rounded. I then worked in an office job for 8 years which hasn't helped the problem. I've tried exercises but get lazy and don't stick at it! I need to try again...

The blue plastic neck corrector thingy you can buy on amazon is very good. Lie on it for 10 mins a day.

If it’s any consolation, I’ve been noticing that SO many people have really dreadful posture these days. Even very young people, fit people in the gym etc. It’s all rounded shoulders and forward necks.

Try holding your phone up level to your eyes instead of hunching over it.

I’m having physio for this now as I have been getting migraines in the past few years and it is related to my neck and posture. In my first session the physio hit a spot in my neck which gave me that same pain in my head in the same place I get migraines.
It’s hard to reset yourself but I’m well on the way to doing so and have had no headaches since. Between being in front of a screen all day and slumping looking at my phone at night, I had got into bad habits.
I’ve got a back wedge (long thin sloping wedge thing) and do exercises on that both lying on it in my back and on my front. I’m building up the muscles others have described and it’s helping a lot. I wonder if YouTube might be a good source for this for you?

Yes I've found good exercises on YouTube, but don't know if they'll improve things or just prevent further damage. My turtle neck looks as if it's beyond repair. I'm hoping to hear stories on the contrary!

Sports/deep tissue massage helps me, the massage therapist can also tape your neck (or you could get some tape online and do it yourself) so you notice every time you slouch forwards and correct yourself!

A kneeling chair helped for me as it forces you to sit up straight
