Party bag 9 year old , one item

Ohnonotanotheroneeek · 06/10/2023 21:47

Half the contents of the party bags for my 8 year old didn’t arrive. I was only doing two things: a giant lolly and some bubble bath. We have the giant lollies but The bubble bath didn’t arrive. What can I buy tomorrow, relatively locally, for the party on Sunday, for about 20 children for under £3 an item. We are in London. Any ideas welcome!

Just ditch the bags and give each child a giant lolly at the end

Edit: typo

Party poppers ? Sharpies? Can you not buy a box of Bath bombs somewhere like a Boots and put one each?

Do you have a Flying Tiger near you, they often have good bits.

I agree, just the lolly is cute and one less bit of old shite for parents to find a home for

If you are that desperate for bubble bath just go to your nearest Poundland.

NuffSaidSam · 06/10/2023 22:06

I'd do just the lolly and a piece of birthday cake.

Matey bubble bath at Superdrug for £2.24, three different bottles.

Stationery. A pen with a fun rubber or a little notebook.

Those little tubs of sweets..long ones..are all in the shops for Christmas so be easy to get. But the giant lollipop would be great on its own.

Ivebeentogeorgia · 06/10/2023 22:46

sweet cone (they’re usually around £1.50 each round us)
chocolate
Hot wheel
but I agree - the lolly and cake is fine

herbygarden · 06/10/2023 22:48

Something from Smiggle! Sale section was there last week - 5 items for £5, so maybe spend £2 each and get a cute pencil or pen and eraser each.

Thanks for the suggestions! I say ‘giant lolly’ but it’s more a medium lolly so a bit thin on its own. I’m all for less plastic tat so thanks for all the suggestions. Will probably go for bath bombs or some kind of stationary. Thanks again!

Buy a tub of roses/ quality street, and a job lot of teeny nail varnishes/ flavoured lipsalves/ pencils/ stickers and chuck them in. 3 items is plenty imo.
