Spotify or Amazon Music

Inspired by a previous thread....poster looking for opinions on paid for Spotify.

Does anyone have any opinions on whether Spotify or Amazon Music are best?

I have an Alexa Show, so I signed up to Amazon Music....it was okay. I then went through a personal credit crunch and cancelled. I still have Amazon prime. I'm amazed by how much I can't listen to now.

So I need to sign up again to either Amazon Music or maybe Spotify? Which is better? I don't have a family, so it's just for me as an individual.

Advice, opinions and recommendations are very welcome...

I have no experience of Amazon Music, but Spotify has pretty much everything you could ever want. You can play it through an Alexa too.

I've used both. IMO you can't beat Spotify. Extensive library and no glitches.

My teens asked me to get Spotify because apparently they have a better selection of less main stream music.

It's looking like Spotify is the way forward

Question: with Spotify, can I download music/albums, and then keep the downloads if I stop my subscription.....don't mind paying for the privilege??

Spotify now also includes loads of audio books too.. All the Strike books are on there.

No you have to keep the subscription going otherwise you get ads and only can listen on shuffle I believe

Spotify has brought me so much joy! Click song radio on one song you're in the mood for and it'll recommend loads of others. You'll discover and rediscover so much music- I know streaming has been shit for artists but for music lovers it's really wonderful (and have bought tickets to see plenty of artists I'd not have known existed so....)
