How’s everyone’s Friday going? And any weekend plans?
Day off today which has been nice. Managed to get a cancellation at the docs this morning so will be having a scan booked in (going through the menopause but currently having the equivalent of a period 😢) I have had fibroids & cysts before so guess it could be that again. Whatever it is affects my mood bigstyle! I often get road rage but it was super bad today!!!
Sat with my DM this afternoon whilst DF played golf. It seems ages since I’ve seen her so it was lovely to catch up. Popped to Co op on the way home & got a few bargains. They always have very good reductions. DH & I have a big meat supreme pizza for tea which was £2.75. I have already started on the wine!
DD14 is staying at her girlfriend’s & the whole atmosphere in the house is different! Her girlfriend stayed here the other night & they started a massive clearout of DD’s room as she has a new bed arriving in a couple of weeks. Talk about a mess! At least they were trying though!
Just had a guy round to look at our bathroom as we want to completely change it. He came highly recommended from a friend. The house needs loads doing to it but the bathroom is our priority & apparently it can be done before Christmas which we didn’t expect.
Working tomorrow then going with DH to collect DD late afternoon. Sunday I might pop to our local donkey sanctuary as a friend is playing/singing there in the afternoon. It’s a lovely place & free to go. We have adopted donkeys in the past. Making toad in the hole, double cream mash, broccoli & homemade onion gravy for Sunday tea. Love toad in the hole. When I was little, DM would pretend to catch toads up the garden for it!!

Just finished fish and chips dinner and now me and my daughter are watching Moonstruck (movie with Cher). Exeter University open day tomorrow (3 1/2 hours by train) and sister visiting from US so early to bed!

Almost home from work, need to walk the dog and find some dinner then collapse in front of the tv…

we’ve had dinner and I did bath / bedtime for the younger two while DH has just left to pick up my eldest (his stepson) from his school. They were running an open evening & Ds1 volunteered to be a guide it’s about 1.5 hr round trip for DH so I’m going to enjoy some pudding and watch a k drama

We’ve had a really busy week as ds1 school has lots of extra curricular activities & expectations and ds2 has ASD & CP so we’ve had lots of appointments for him this week

The dog is chewing up an old shoe (she was really unwell yesterday so good to see her rebound to normality!)

The cats are curled up on the spare room bed

DP is out playing taxi driving DD and 4 of her friends to an 18th birthday party

I'm on the sofa thinking of excuses not to hang the washing out or do anything much really.

Weekend - need to sort out clothes for DS's school trip next week, homework really should hang the washing up DS wants to go rock climbing, we might watch a film.. nothing major really

Just finished watching that new spy kids movie on Netflix with ds, what an absolute pile of shite! Am now about to eat the a huge bowl of pasta. And then I'm going to collapse onto the sofa. Or I may even take the laptop up to bed and find something to watch on Iplayer. Knackered!!

Dh went to walk the dog and realised he'd dropped the lead out of his pocket on this mornings walk. So he took spare crap lead and I retraced his steps but clearly didnt look very well as once I'd done a full lap saw some lovely person had hung it on the sign at the bloody entrance 🙄😬🙈
Now watching a recorded task master while waiting for a Chinese to turn up.

In bed watching TV early start in the morning dd2 fell asleep at the side off me while dd1 is at gymnastics

Just got a Chinese takeaway, and a Sainsbury's quick shop.

DD is asleep but will probably wake up and want to chat around midnight, she is 17.

DS is gaming.

Just got my 1 year old DD to sleep, about to have dinner. This was my first week back at work after maternity leave so looking forward to a quiet weekend and some quality time with my little girl and DH 😍

Am just about to have dinner, home from work wet, its miserable out there. Dh out which is rare and i get the tv to myself

Saw friends for lunch and then a Zoom call with another friend when I got home from work. DC had exams this week so they are playing guitar and chilling. DH is looking at electric cars. I'm trying to decide between reading another few chapters of the latest Robert Galbraith or watching a film. Tomorrow we're going shopping and I'm getting a haircut. Sunday I want to go to an exhibition at the gallery in town.

Relieved to have finished another manic week at work. I've brought plenty of work home with me, but that can wait until Sunday. Played a board game with dh. Ds is revising. Dd is away in her third week of her first year of university, so we are missing her. Dh is cooking, I'm sitting here with a beer, and we're about to watch the first Godfather film with ds after dinner. I might knit while watching!

We just had pizza with kids. Have just opened some wine, DH watching Rugby on TV. DD in her room being quite teenage, DS doing a dinosaur model. Am just MN on sofa.

Weekend will be usual mix of kids activities, dinner out tmw and kids party..

I'm quietly on here while DH is next to me trying to have a quick sleep before Nightshift . Grandchildren are in their rooms watching TV and playing . Hoping to go to Monkey World tomorrow if the weather holds as we have annual passes.

Drinking wine and just finished takeaway pizza. Off work for the next week and getting on a plane tomorrow for a week in the sun! 😍I also have fresh sheets on the bed so will be having a hot bath and a fairly early night.

Just got out of the shower, pyjamas on , waiting for the kettle to boil and then DH and I are going to watch last night's MAFS .

Waiting for dd2 to finish a meal in a restaurant with her mates so I can go and pick her up. I hope she hurries up as I am seriously hungry and want to eat my dinner!

Watching the Wham! documentary with a face mask on (I gave the cat a fright). Pondering whether I can be bothered to do my nails as I’m going to the theatre tomorrow. Then a bit of reading and bed. DCs busy on FaceTime with friends or Fifa.

I like reading about other people’s domestic life.

Just finished tea. DD has a few friends over so the house is filled with shrieks 😂🙈. Seem to be having fun. It was their last day of first term at high school so they are very hyper.

DS is hiding in his room gaming. DH is hiding too watching a show. D cats are out catting.

I plan to snuggle up with my book and Mumsnet a bit. Working week starts tomorrow for me so want to chill.

1 ds gaming being loud but having fun. Other 2 are cosy in 1 room watching Halloween scooby do. Oh is watching some golf thing and I'm upstairs feeding baby in bed and texting oh to make me a brew. Love the darker evenings and everyone is allowed to do there own things as its Friday 😅

Dd and her boyfriend have gone to my mums caravan in Norfolk for the weekend so just myself and the dog who is fast asleep in her basket
I’m catching up on Emmerdale
Working tomorrow from 7.30 to 4.00 at a flu vaccination drop in clinic at the surgery I work at so going to go to bed early and listen to a podcast
No plans for tomorrow night just a takeaway and a couple of glasses of wine whilst watching tv
Sunday will need to do a food shop and catch up on some housework

Home with dd1 (8) and dd2 (6 month) whilst dh is 6000 miles away. Missing him but he’s back home Sunday. Had chilli for dinner and dd1 had pasta. Dd2 is clingy a lot so I can barely put her down. Finished building dd1 new bed and we played Minecraft until my switch died. I need to keep tidying house but may have to wait until dd2 asleep. Managed a shower though finally. Exhausted and need to make a coffee. I went to Aldi this afternoon so I’ve got some chocolate mint aero treats for tonight 😁Hoping for a dry day tomorrow as have all the bedding to wash.
