Ideas for a light lunch

I have a friend coming over to catch up who I haven't seen for a long time so there'll be lots of chatting. We just moved so we don't have dining seating set up yet. So I think a help yourself from the kitchen and eat on the sofa is the best we can do. For various reasons I've not hosted for years so I'm feeling very rusty - we often ordered pizza last time we had friends over! Please help me with suggestions! She's from the Middle East but has lived in the UK a long time and she wouldn't want any fuss either. I was thinking salad, roasted chicken slices, pitta bread and dips, but not sure what I can do to make it a bit nicer.

Warm a quiche and serve with some nice bread and salad? I could manage that with a fork on my lap

Was about to suggest the same as Houseplanter

Warm quiche is a lovely idea!
