What are you making for tea/dinner/evening meal tonight?

I'm making a chicken jalfrezi with naan and chips (DD HATES rice with a passion)

I'm really looking forward to it.

Bacon and leak soup with 'bum hole rolls' and some vanilla sponge and custard. Bum hole rolls are the poppy seeded bread rolls from the lidl bakery with a little bum hole underneath.

Mushroom tagliatelle (no idea how to spell that), I’ve made the pasta myself. We’re dairy free so I use silken tofu to make the sauce, it’s yummy and has a really lovely single cream type texture once blended.

Chilli Con Carne just waiting on the rice.😁

Leftovers from yesterday - Italian sausage meatballs in vodka sauce with penne. We have enough for tomorrow too.

Grilled salmon, jerk roasted broccoli and cauliflower, sweet potato wedges.

@Simonjt Ooh, do you have a recipe for the sauce? Never used silken tofu before but have been wanting to replicate a creamy mushroom sauce in a vegan way and don’t much like the fake cream.

mondaytosunday · 05/10/2023 19:26

I didn't make it: chicken kyiv and mini roasties with pea and leek veg.

Just softened onion, garlic, seasoning then blend that in with the tofu, you have to blend a little while so its liquid smooth, then heat and continue seasoning to taste.
