Have just purchased train tickets for half term and would like to take DS somewhere 'different' for a light meal /snack . He's partial to the usual ice cream, cake, or burger....
The best I can come up with is Harrods ice cream parlour ....
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Inamo.
High tech tables to play games on

Think it is quite pricey but someone on a different thread the other week mentioned the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea at One Aldwych and that looks amazing!

Massive queues if you don't manage to book a table (a table in the brasserie gets you a Q jump) but the menu is probably quite formal and uninteresting for a young teen, imo.

Ooh yes. There's a Crumble stall at the back of Borough Market. I keep meaning to try it, it looks amazing!
All different flavour crumbles with oodles of hot custard!

Wow.. Thank you for the suggestions. Off to Google them now 😁

Hard Rock Cafe was a big hit with my DS, similar age

gotomomo · 05/10/2023 16:52

Hard Rock Cafe if they are into music. Camden market is another good option for less formal eating. Harrods and similar I find a bit pretentious

My DS has really enjoyed the Fortnum and Mason ice cream parlour at around the same age as yours. There's some good ice cream places in Covent Garden too with live music and performances all around.
