Dreams-lovely or not

I am dealing with the not so lovely side...... nightmares. I have been experiencing episodes where I am aware I am dreaming, I am aware of what is going on around me... say my partner calling my name trying to wake me up.... that happens often but I cannot come out of my nightmare. During these episodes I am twitching or punching and I am aware of it but cannot stop it.

What are these episodes!?

My ideas were sleep paralysis or lucid dreams but I thought sleep paralysis renders you immobile and I thought lucid dreams were positive 🤔

Night terrors? Can you get those as an adult?

Possession or entity, try spiritual healing 🙏 not even kidding it can happen.
Yes I watch some horror movies 😄

I didn't think of those- not too sure. I thought you aren't awake during night terrors.

Wouldnt that depend on the nature of the nightmares?
I know what my nightmares stem from?

I guess it does depend yes, any other stressful things going on with you? How's your mental health?

It has been going on for almost a year now so it's sort of a broad time frame. Since I know what they stem from would other factors be relevant?

They are PTSD related. I will say the development of these episodes happened after about a year and a half of the situation not being an active part of my life.

I would seek some spiritual and medical help...try some remedies to help you relax at night etc
PTSD can also be a trigger

When it is like that it is a mixture of sleep paralysis and a lucid dream. The brain is complex!
