What would you choose?

Hi!
If you lived in London could choose between staying in London or moving to Birmingham. What would you choose? (Family of 4, two adults, two young children)

In London you would have a higher salary but in Birmingham you would be close to family (grandparents, great grandparents, uncles, cousins), it's also more green in Bham.
size of the house you'd be moving to would be the same.
More disposable money at the end of the month in London

I’d chose London every time,for career, opportunities,culture,diversity. Always work in London even when other regions decline. You can travel to see family and it’s a quick journey. I would not leave London. Nothing in your post is compelling toward Birmingham

If the size of house would be the same, surely your mortgage would be less in Birmingham, freeing up more disposable income?

It would be a rental
The total income earned in Birmingham would be lower, the lower rent wouldn't compensate it so the disposable income would still be lower
