National school shirt shortage?

Been trying to get a revere collar shirt, white, for 12-13 years since term started. Everywhere I shop is sold out.
Trutex don't fit properly, so they're discounted.
I'd usually go to M&S (best fit), then Next (no irony intended), then ASDA, Sainsbury, etc.

Can't find any. What's going on?

They are in the shops before schools break up in July.
Most of the stock is gone by the time school starts, or packed away, they are focusing on winter and Christmas stuff now.

It's all kinds of uniform. It's taken me a month to track down some plain grey school socks. M&S had one pair left on theor website which happened to be the right size.

It's fucking ridiculous this stuff is only easily available in July. Children grow all the time and need new uniform all the time.

Never known it this bad though.

That's what I'm looking for but (because I'm "one of those people") I don't buy from Amazon. PITA as it seems to be the only place that has any.

Fortunately the ones we currently have fit - just about.

I can find other sizes, just not the next size up. Anywhere in shops.

12-13 is a funny size as some brands do 11-12 and then 13-14
