Did anyone see the tiktoks on bedbugs all over Paris? I am petfiried of bedbugs because I don't the time to deep clean my home or the funds to call in bug exterminators. I am not going to Paris but I woke for a family as a nanny and the family are due to go to Paris in a few weeks. Am I being unreasonable to be so nervous about them. I don't want them to come back home with them and then hitch hike onto me and go home with me. It's not fair. I really think they should defer their holiday to Paris until next year and hopefully the situation should have cleared or reduced by them. If bed bugs are on public transport and other areas surely they are in hotels too.

AIBU if I was to leave this job over this matter and go work somewhere else.

Expecting them to postpone their trip because of your concerns is unreasonable.

If it was me with a trip booked to Paris and news on bed bugs I would likely turn around and cancel plans and if that meant losing out on flights so be it. It's just not worth the risk of carrying home bedbugs and the problems that entails.

We came back from Paris a few weeks ago. No bed bug bites.

Bed bugs here anyway OP. Been on parts of tube network for years. Frequent outbreaks in crowded housing conditions close to me in London.

I’ve got a trip to Paris booked and I haven’t got plans to change it. I’m not thrilled about the bedbug news but we’re going to do a check as soon as we get in the hotel and act accordingly, plus I’m getting some repellent.
