Bus decorum…

Humour me on the morning commute..

What is the correct etiquette for seating choice on a bus…

Just got on mine and there is not a double seat free (some have one person sitting at window with the aisle seat free) apart from 1 double seat at each side at the front which have an elderly person sign beside them.

Do you avoid the front seats and just double up with someone further up or take one of the free elderly seats at the front and move if it is needed.

For clarity there is quite a wide space at the front of all the chairs with a seat facing out and another forward for wheel chair and pram users.

I’d panic.😂
I would be worried that if I sat on the front seat I would have to move for someone who needed it more, and worried that if I doubled up they’d think I was weird for not sitting on the front seat.
Probably front seat and move if needed though.

Just sit down. It drives me crazy when I see people standing in the aisle faffing around, blocking access to empty seats further back etc.
Just sit in a ruddy seat (and move if needed later on).

Oh I always sit at the front, then move if needed. There's an art form to judging who would want the seat as I've moved lots of times only for the person getting on to walk past the seat and double up themselves. I try and move before we stop so they don't see me moving for them.
Jeezus the things we do...
