Going to spa when TTC, the day before I’d be testing. Would it be ok?

Wanting to book a lovely spa day for me and DH but the only day we can go is my CD34. I usually have 40 day cycles. It’s our first cycle of trying. Is it ok to go then? I read you’re not supposed to do hot tubs, saunas or steam rooms in pregnancy.

I tried for 6 months (and pregnant now) and I went to two spa days in that time. One of those times i must have been a week or2 pregnant. I think it has to be your decision. If you're worried and you wouldn't enjoy it don't go. I didn't think about it because I wasn't sure if I was pregnant or not. Maybe you could read the risks that might help you decide.

I went in a hot tub the day before I found out I was pregnant. Currently 8 weeks and everything seems to be ok so far.

Saunas/steam room/hot tubs are only advised not to go in due to overheating and is more a concern the further along you are.
With having treatments you can have a facial at any stage in your pregnancy. A lot of spas won't give you a massage when you are under 12 weeks pregnant. This is to do with their insurance, not that I believe anything would happen. I work in a spa and trained in elemis. They do a pregnancy massage treatment that I can't do in the spa I work in under 12 weeks because of insurance but if I worked in the elemis spa in London I would be able to do it any stage of pregnancy because their insurance covers it.
Honestly it will be completely fine.

I went to a spa a few days before I tested positive. I would’ve been about 6-7 days past ovulation. At the time I didn’t think about it - I was in and out of hot tubs, sauna, steam room, relaxing heated beds all day.
I did an NIPT test at 12 weeks because I was so worried about it but it came back low risk.
But unfortunately at the 20 week scan we’ve just been told the baby has suspected Dandy Walker Malformation. We’ve been racking our brains why, as it’s such an unbelievably rare condition and we have no family history of it and I’m so healthy. And I can’t stop thinking about the spa. My
husband tells me not to blame myself and we don’t know it’s the cause but it’s the only thing I can think of.

Sorry I don’t want to worry anyone, mine is probably an extreme unfortunate case. But if you’re reading this I would avoid the spa in the two week wait and first trimester or at least be extremely careful with how hot you get.
