Half of the conservatives would want him, the other half wouldn't.

That's been the case for the last 2 PMs at least. Neither batshit Truss or stroppy head boy Rishi were exactly uniting figures within the party, let alone the country. (Obviously they don't give a fuck about the country anyway but ykwim.)

The thing about Farage is that he's still very popular and influential in some areas. God knows why but he appeals to some people. Look at what he 'achieved' with UKIP, Brexit etc. Many Tories might well hold their noses and calculate that they'd rather have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in.

Lets not beat around the bush. Farage appeals to large number of people because he's an absolutely massive racist and tells people what they want to hear.

He'll join the Conservative Party and be selected for a the next available safe by election.

Would the Tories want him and do that? They would lose all credibility if they did and they don't have much now. Mind you, there was Boris......

I sincerely hope not. Farage is a maverick who likes to confront, provoke and stir. He can be entertaining but is also dangerous. Always controversial.

Please not.

You're not wrong Kendodd, racism is his main attraction. I was grimly 'amused' the other week when the BNP, or whatever it calls itself these days, turned up on the streets at the behest of a female Home Secretary of Asian origin married to a Jewish Zionist husband, to 'defend the Cenotaph' and protest about anti-semitism. They seem to have mislaid their rule book but I expect Nigel can remind them they were 'defending' everything that they traditionally hate.

Rather like Jeremy Corbyn. Or if you want to go back further Tony Benn and Ken Livingstone.

And here's the difference between the left and right. I admired those mentioned because they genuinely believed they were right.

The left hates anyone who disagrees with their worldview.

Doubt it.

He has a lot of work to do if he wants to be Prime Minister.

First you need to be elected as the Leader of a Political Party.
Then your Political Party needs to win the most seats at a General Election.

Nigel Farage can't even win an election to be an MP. in the House of Commons. He's tried 7 times.

In the very unlikely event he decided to join the Tory or Labour Party, there would have to be some sort of mass lobotomy for them to choose him as Party Leader.

Whilst I never say "never" - I mean look at Trump - the chances of him becoming PM are very slim.

Less than slim considering Donald Trump is in the US and they have presidents there not PMs. I think you're spot on about Nigel Farage though, I can't see it happening.
