Interment of ashes - is this OK to wear?

I don't have much in the way of formal/smart wear and just can't find anything that fits, even black trousers.
The dress I wore for funeral is very individual and not really suitable for standing around a cemetery early in the morning.

I do have this dress. It's knee length on me and I can add a smart cardigan. Would this be OK?

Only about 12 going and I guess morning coffee afterwards although I'm pretty sure we'll stay for lunch/take Auntie out for lunch.

It looks slightly short, as long as it's definitely knee length then with the cardigan it'll be fine, I'm sorry for your loss OP.

Looks fine to me. I’d pair it with a smart cardigan, as you suggested or a jacket.
I’d also wear dark tights, shoes or boots, not sandals.

I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if I saw somebody wearing that to that sort of event.

Thanks for your quick replies. Luckily I do have some black tights that I actually wear this it, also some boots which aren't too high so won't sink into mud if the ground is wet.
