I'm posting this here because I haven't got a clear answer and ideally I want to sort this out today.
Yesterday I tried to buy some clothes from TK Maxx online, the transaction kept in declining even though the funds are there. I tried another shop and it seemed my card was blocked.
I was worried about fraud so phoned them, they said they don't have an up to date mobile number for me so Verification by Visa had failed. A bit bizarre because no other online stuff has declined before and there was no verified by visa prompt. However it's true that my number has changed but more than a year ago and it's been fine, I just had to use the card reader thing sometimes. Anyway they removed the hold on my account and said I had to go into a branch with ID.
It's quite a way (one hour plus) to my nearest branch and also the opening hours are limited so I just wanted to check if there's any other way of doing this?
I guess I just don't understand why I'm being singled out to go I to a branch 😕
