Manchester Airport

Flight is tomorrow at 12:30 in the afternoon from T3.

Usually takes us 30 minutes to drive to the airport but will probably have to leave in rush hour traffic so will take longer.

What time would you set off/aim to get to the airport for? DP wants to set off at 7:30am to avoid any rush hour accidents etc but I think this is too early. I know that T3 is only small so I don't want to be hanging around for 3 hours after security. But then again I don't know how busy it is at the moment.

It entirely depends on the route. It’s 35 mins normal from mine. In the rush hour I give it an hour because M56. So for a transatlantic flight I’d want to arrive by 9.30, so leaving here at 8.30 would be OK. If I was parking at Jetparks or somewhere relying on a shuttle I’d add on another 30 mins.

Do you have to check in bags? If so I’d aim to be there about 10:15 / 10:30 if not, definitely wouldn’t be there longer than 2 hours before the flight.

Security tends to be quiet around that time (busiest first thing).
