Could someone please explain E-sims to me? Can the same sim be used in two countries?

An E-sim is a sim that can be downloaded to the phone rather than physically having one in there.
Or you can have an E-Sim & a physical sim to make use of 2 lines (work & personal for example)

Works exactly the same way as a physical SIM card, so yes you can use it in other countries, only downside is if you ever reset your phone you lose the sim & have to redownload it again or get a QR code from your Sim provider

Oh sorry, when you say "same sim used in 2 countries" I thought you meant can it be used in another country if you went from the UK abroad for example!

Only One person can make use of an ESIM at a time, exactly the same as a physical sim, it cannot be used in 2 different devices by 2 different users!

@Scoleah sorry I want to download an e-sim for my phone to use in the USA and then in Canada. Is that possible?

Ah ok.

Well you can either have your personal number & turn it into an E-sim and use the roaming feature on your mobile plan (if you have one included, otherwise it can work out expensive with a UK provider)

From googling though, it does say you can buy an eSIM on arrival to benefit from this when you land in the USA (it would have its own number though)
