Sorry if this is in the wrong place, need the traffic.
my adult son is paralysed and needs 24 hour care, which is provided by an agency.
this is funded by social services and the nhs.
he cannot work, and receives the appropriate benefits.
the local authority are demanding that he pays £80 per week towards the care provided, but this would be impossible for him out of his benefits.
I live abroad so not well placed to advocate for him, although I’m doing my best, but simply don’t understand how this can be justified.
for further info, he owns his fully adapted house outright.
any advice or info on payments etc would be very gratefully received.
