Under stairs storage cost ?

Hi has anyone added understair storage. I'm looking for something very basic. I don't want shelving anything that pulls out etc . I just want to add an extra door so it's easier to get access at the lower part of the under the stairs.

Does anyone know a rough cost of getting this done? Thanks 😊

We used a carpenter to take the old under stairs storage out (only covered half the area) and put a new one in. We have a basic frame made in MDF (wood will be more) that we painted ourselves, it covers the whole under stairs with a double cupboard, a single cupboard and a small pop out drawer for the small awakened corner. It cost roughly £700 at end of 2020/early 2021, so I imagine prices have gone up since then.

I have a large under stairs cupboard and opted for the type of storage where you lift up the second and third step to get into the end of the cupboard, it's brilliant. Cost £300 maybe
