2/3 years before having a baby- save, save, save or live your life?

Getting married next year and we're both ready to TTC after the wedding.

The wedding is small and has mostly been paid off, but we don't have much left in our savings. I really still want to spend time with DP, and go out for dinner and out for the day, off on holiday and enjoy (please god) the last baby-free time just us. We're a bit older and we are still enjoying having someone to go to the cinema with.

It feels strange (and tempting fate) to say, no we're staying in to save for baby, but I also would like the nest egg.... arrrghh.

Live your life
Go to the cinema, go shopping (in peace) have a day nap! Have a day drink lol sleep for a long as possible, travel , go out with your friends and just enjoy yourself

Now I'm not saying you can't do any of those things after you have a baby but it's definitely limited

I don't miss much from before I had kids but I do miss our cinema dates at random hours midweek and I definitely miss sleeping in and naps

But don't think that once you have a baby you can't do anything you love
We still travel a lot and have a lovely time as a family and I don't feel I'm missing out on anything xx
