Sorry if I’m late to this, but I’ve been watching petrol prices rising steadily recently. Any particular reason why ?

I’ve no idea why. Just seems like shameless profiteering. I get mine at Costco which is a bit cheaper but still very expensive. I have no option but to use my car for work and shopping. It’s frightening, I spend so much on petrol and parking for work soon the balance will tip that it’s barely worth going! A 4 day week would help but sadly not possible in my job.

It is profiteering . The countries who sell the oil decided to prop up prices by producing less and cutting supply.

So much shameless profitering...

Supermarkets and petrol stations both. Don’t see diminishing profits in either. Just corporations making money off "inflation"

It is also profiteering by the garages.

My DH works 10 miles away in an even more deprived town than we do, Sainsburys petrol is 6p a litre cheaper there! That is a hell of a lot! He takes my car and fills it up when required. He shouldn't have to do this!
