there’s actually one advert with the same logo as Clark’s and claiming that the boots are reduced from £180 irrc to £19.99. Lots of happy customers seemingly.

There is absolutely nothing about that page that looks legit

griegwithhimandhim · 30/09/2023 22:19

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

GeorgeSpeaks · 30/09/2023 22:31

It sells clothes. Clark's are a shoe shop. So not legit.

Almondmum · 30/09/2023 22:32

It couldn't be more obviously fake unless it actually had 'fake' in the title of the page.

Beenaboutabit · 30/09/2023 22:35

Everything on Facebook selling brands at 10% or less of RRP is bogus. It’s shocking the Facebook make money off so many fraudulent websites. There are loads of them in my feed.

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 30/09/2023 22:37

Do you really think a legit Clarks outlet would use a Gmail address? Really?

FortunataTagnips · 30/09/2023 22:38

Especially one with “freemanlove” in the address.

GrazingSheep · 30/09/2023 22:39

I think some people should just not use the internet…

VisionsOfSplendour · 30/09/2023 22:39

I'd advise staying off the internet if you think that's a genuine page

Or it it doesn't look to good to be true but it looks nothing at all in any way like a clarks outlet.

IhearyouClemFandango · 30/09/2023 22:41

There is a Clarks outlet, but that isn’t it.

YellowDots · 30/09/2023 22:43

Lots of happy customers seemingly.

Where?

uncomfortablydumb53 · 30/09/2023 22:44

Whatever you do, don't press buy it now!!
Of course it's not legit

Fizzadora · 30/09/2023 22:46

No scammed me for £60. I have never been scammed before. I worked in Financial Services for over 40 years fgs. How on earth did I possibly think that 19 pairs of shoes and boots would only be £60 (they knocked another 60% off at checkout) and even as I was making the payment I said to myself this sounds far too good to be true🤣🤣🤣
I phoned the bank to cancel my card and they laughed at me too. Said to give it 3 weeks just in case they actually did arrive and if they didnt call them back but they weren't hopeful they would be able to refund as I had made the payment.
I didn't bother and chalked it up to experience.
In my very slight defence I have used the Clarks outlet website successfully before now

I just can't believe how people are taken in by Facebook selling sites like these. Only yesterday there was a FB site selling the Jo Malone Advent calender for £30 or 30 Euro or 30 dollars ( which should have been a red flag in itself!). A quick google showed that it actually retails for £350! Seller claimed to be shipping from uk when her profile was clearly from some Arab country. Everyone was asking her if she shipped to their country, Portugal, USA, Canada etc.etc. Answer was always 'yes' and the shipping was £8, 8 Euro, 8 dollars. Seller even helpfully said there would be a slight delay in shipping and she would start shipping in a few days time. But no one seemed to see it was an obvious scam and all these people saying 'I've ordered 4 so excited'!. A fool and their money ......... Oddly the profile disappeared the the following day but they'd clearly made a killing just from one day scamming.

PurpleChrayne · 30/09/2023 22:58

About as kosher as a pork cheeseburger with prawn sauce.

Katharinablumwasinnocent · 01/10/2023 00:25

I didn’t think it was legit. Obviously it’s dodgy. Absolutely no intention of buying and the shoes are bloody awful anyway.
It was just strange that there were literally 100s of positive reviews although quite a few people asking if their order had been received.

@Fizzadora loads of folk were saying the shoes were great quality etc on the Facebook site.

@Katharinablumwasinnocent online:FB businesses can buy fake reviews.

bruffin · 01/10/2023 08:39

Im in Italy and the link takes me to an italian clothes shop but still called Clarks

Is this Clark’s outlet shop advertised on Facebook kosher ?
caramac04 · 01/10/2023 08:53

That online shop is definitely fake. Pretty much all of the shops on Facebook are selling counterfeit stuff (usually very poor quality but not always) or if they sell non branded goods it’s of very poor quality.
I would be very wary of buying anything off Facebook, not that I bought some seemingly great shoe storage that is as strong as a paper bag and for infant sized shoes, and would advise others to also be wary.

TheBestUsernamesAreGone · 01/10/2023 09:22

Yes. Always go to the website and look for contact details. Street addresses. Is there a phone number? What country code? There usually aren't any details or just some odd gmail address.
Look at the Facebook page 'about' section. Does any of it match up?
In the run up to Christmas Facebook will be overrun with this shit.

TheBestUsernamesAreGone · 01/10/2023 09:24

When I started my post with "yes" I was agreeing with others saying scam, not answering your "is it kosher?" question OP. Blush

Daffodilsandtuplips · 01/10/2023 09:36

No, I ordered a pair of Clarke’s sandals from Amazon, they were too big so sent them back. They were genuine Clark’s. Saw the same pair on that website a lot cheaper so ordered a pair. They are nothing like the ones I got from Amazon: poor stitching, cheap cloth fabric, raw edges to the straps, the soles are slippy and the buckles on the real ones were the type with a prong that goes through a hole in the corresponding strap, the buckles on the fakes are the slip through and pull type. I haven’t worn them. Was going to return them postage was ridiculous.
Inleft a review on the site. Oh and that took three weeks to arrive.

Steev · 01/10/2023 09:36

Of course not.
