I'm so pathetic

4 years into marriage and I just long to have someone whose company I enjoy.

I'm having a glass of wine and wish it was with my husband. But he's upstairs probably snoring and even if he was down here he would just be ignoring every word I say and playing on his phone

I'm drinking alone and wondering how the fuck this is my life.

Early 30s and this is it. Wow.

You’re not pathetic but it seems you either need a bit of a shake up in your relationship or maybe you need to call it a day.
Would you consider couples counselling? Would it be worth it?

I think we're past it if I am being completely honest. He's boring and lazy and everything he does now grates on me

So leave.

What's stopping you?

It won't get better. If it could get better it would take a lot time and hard work. Do you love each other to do this?
I am massively projecting because I was in your position. I am now about 15 years ahead of you. I am now a single mum and no it's not easy but bloody hell I wish i had done it when I was your age. I have wasted so many years.
