We're going to a wedding evening do in a few weeks. The bride was my graduate at work about 10 years ago. We worked very closely for a few years, but have both since moved up within the organisation. Anyway, she's marrying someone else from work, so there will be a lot of work people there.
I'm early 50s, but am described by my friends as "the youngest person your age I know". Booby size 16. Good legs below the knee.
My aesthetic is "could you get it in Toast?". (although not often actually from Toast). I'm not into frills, embroidery, florals, ditzy patterns, weird cut out bits, body con, synthetic fibres. I'm more into plain colours, simple shapes and natural fibres. I don't wear heels - can't due to an ankle injury.
The main wedding is not overly formal - not morning dress. The bride has said to wear what you like for the evening do.
Please help me not look old and scruffy!!
I'd really like something I could wear with chunky boots and my (beautiful) grey velvet biker jacket that doesn't get enough wear.
