If you are a shop manger do you get a bonus?

My colleague told me that my manager receives a bonus of about 12k a year. I told her there's no way a shop manger gets that much of a bonus but she was adamant that she was indeed correct. So for nosey factor if you are a shop manager do you recive this sort of money as a bonus ?

I used to be years ago & I used to get probably about £1000 spread out over the year - definitely nothing close to 12k!
It depends on the shop though - little shop - probably not, massive supermarket - maybe

DP is a shop manager and gets monthly commission of .5% of turnover plus a quarterly bonus of up to £2k per quarter. The commission doesn't sound a lot but adds up and is paid regardless of hitting target. He generally brings home about £15-18k a year on top of his salary between commission and bonus.

@EnglishGirlApproximately that's really incredible and good luck to him I say. My partner is in a professional job and while he earns massive £ his bonus is nothing like the money your partner gets lol

@weeseee retail is massively varied. I know a few shop managers and salaries go from barely above minimum wage to over £100k for high turnover supermarkets! Generally have crap pension schemes, holiday allowances etc though.

Up to 25% of salary every year. On current kpi targets we are sitting at 15-17% for this year.
Not a supermarket, but large national company.
