Today I had my 3rd encounter of someone filming a TikTok. Two twats early 20’s lads playing the Floor Is Lava in Sainsburys. One shouted ‘hey Steve - the floor is Lava!” And Steve ran (nearly bumping into an old lady) and leapt into one of those little stands in the bakery section where the fresh boxes of cupcakes/crispy cakes/eclairs live and laughed like an absolute fool whilst squashing a box of eclairs with his arse.
What did I do? I ruined their video of course by getting in the way and slowly selecting some eclairs while they continued to film. I put my trolley in front of Steve. I also told security - who said there’s little they can do it’s happening constantly and they get told to ‘do one’ if they intervene.
I was also asked to move last year in Spain on holiday when I was waiting for my family in front of a famous landmark. A couple painted in silver with silver clothing wanted to do a dance in the space I was in. They didn’t ask politely they said “We are filming a TikTok here can you love over there please”. I said no.
The other was in the Lakes last month on Lake Windermere. I was canoeing and a load of blokes did some sort of stupid dance on the shore facing the lake. Sadly I can barely canoe let alone use my canoe to get in the way of anyone so I didn’t spoil that one 🤣
I don’t even care that it’s petty - I think filming these videos in crowded public areas is so disruptive and anti-social and rude and I refuse to facilitate these egocentric talentless twits.
Tell me your TikTok stories!
