We are having this phenomenon in our house and I'm baffled by it. On the hallway floor or on the kitchen floor, 8 or 9 times now over the past 2 months I've discovered big spiders - just standing there. They don't move. One I almost picked up thinking it was cat fur! I cover them with a pint glass and put them in the garden, and they stagger off like little drunks.
Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but we had a smart meter put it back in spring, could it be that? The meter is on the outside of the kitchen wall. Or wifi? We have a carbon monoxide detector which seems fine. I know big spiders are normal around this time, but why are they acting like they're frozen? Any spider experts around?
