DD (16) has done one shift at her Sunday job. She had no interview for the current job, just turned up and was thrown straight in. She's had no training, she is using pot wash machine with boiling water, no gloves and floor is soaked and ultra slippy. Another 16 year old showed her briefly how to use the machine and said watch your hands!

She's had an interview for another job, training offered, lovely place with lovely manager. They want her to do trial shift then start if all OK.

So, how does she leave the other job, just do tomorrow then say that's it or should she give notice. I want her to do the right thing and be respectful of the current employer, but I'm not happy with working conditions and I can see why they have a very high turnover of staff!

Has she signed a contract? If not then she can just say she isn't coming back. If she wants to be nice she could give a weeks notice!

No contract, no interview, no training, no discussion on pay. She knows it's minium wage but still!

I wouldn't worry then! Just say she isn't coming back.
