Even slightly less destructable trainers for 11yo DS?

Ds has just literally torn through yet another pair of trainers. These ones, Brooks so not paper thin, lasted 6 weeks. I've a pair of adidas all terrain goretex trainers on order but I need to have a back up for if he goes through these as quickly. He's a size 7 and wide fitting so not an enormous selection at the best of times. He wears them for school but no need to be all black. Am I searching for a unicorn?

One of my dc has all leather black asics trainers. Is he playing football at lunchtime in them?

Yep, football at break time! I hadn't thought of leather actually, I'll see what I can find. He's very sensitive about the feel of shies so I'll look for somewhere he can try them on. Thanks.

At our secondary a lot of the dc who are play football at lunchtime whip out some football boots from their bag, presumably for the same reason! They have to play in a MUGA though.

The only ones that last round here are DC skate shoes.

Astro boots could be a good idea. He's still in primary so some days is on the tarmac yard and others on the astro pitch and they play football on both. I'll also check out DC skate shoes, I'm not familiar with them.
