Peri menopausal- nose in overdrive ?

I am at the beginning of my oh so wonderful journey of menopause. But the last week I have seen a huge shift and I wondered if anyone else had these.

My nose seems to have gone into overdrive. I can smell everything so much stronger and powerful. My husband says things are the same. But as an example when I stood near the washing a few days ago the smell was over powering. And the smell of other things have increased.

Also my ick factor. Things that didn’t bother me before are starting to bother me now.

Just wondered if anyone else had this. ( not pregnant as I did wonder about that. But no )

Yes, I’ve had this. And I had it in pregnancy too.

Yes, totally. I thought I was just me, but another friend has developed unsettling nasal superpower.

Yes I have this, it drives me nuts. And makes me wonder if I have covid sometimes. Didn't know it was a perimenopause thing. Had absolutely insane rhinitis in pregnancy and my hayfever has gotten so much worse in the last few years so suppose it's all linked.

Everything smells off to me

Phew. Thanks. It is small things at the moment. But this has been fairly huge. Nice to know it’s not just me.

yes I'm getting this too, unfortunately it includes the smell of the HRT gel 🤣

Yep, me too. Everything smells SO strong. And things that used to smell nice don’t anymore.
