what is this rash/bites/reaction? pic

I woke up this morning with these itchy marks on my arm.

I googled bed bug bites, but it doesn't look like that.
I can't decide if it's a reaction something, or if they are bites.
Any suggestions welcome.

Looks like hives, you need an antihistamine and some cream.
Have you used a new washing powder or moisturiser ?

MeinKraft · 30/09/2023 12:38

Yeah just hives I think.

They are hives, which can be caused by bug bites, heat rash, virus or allergy to something else but you can't usually tell until the hives have gone down. Take an anti histamine and then see if there are faint flat red spots underneath, as the pattern of the hives does look similar to bed bugs.

Brilliant. Thank you.
Off to google hives now. Hope it's nothing serious...

Did they go down on their own? Or are they moving around? I suffered from idiopathic hives - no identifiable cause and self perpetuating, which is delightful.

Fingers crossed you'll find a trigger though.

@Slothlikemum
Yes, they went down during the day. No idea what could have caused them. I am quite stressed at the moment, so maybe just that? I don't know.
Usually, when I'm stressed I have a small patch of red skin that moves anti clockwise around one of my feet. It's happened several times!
Bodies are strange things!
