Aaaargh sofa dilemma

I bought a sofa recently, it's a highly unusual carved wooden one with upholstered seat, very covetable and striking.

Dilemma now is that I've seen an extraordinarily squishy blue velvet one and am torn. I'd probably have to take a £100 hit if I buy the velvet one and try to sell the other.

Thoughts??

Are you happy to vacuum the velvet one every day? You’ll need to have it treated so you can sponge it when it gets marks on it.

Mind, a wooden one wouldn’t be my choice, so I’d go squishy and be prepared to maintain it well.

@Bluevelvetsofa do you have a blue velvet sofa 😁

I'm slightly annoyed about this as when I bought the antique one I thought done, dusted.

Then I was looking at classifieds for something else and my heart sank when I saw the velvet one. Probably best to view it and if I love it try to sell the other one :(

I like them both but in different ways

Yes I do. I like it, but it needs more attention than other fabric or leather I think. It’s a corner sofa and I move the cushions round regularly. We had it treated, so you can sponge off marks and it’s vacuumed most days. I don’t regret it though.
