i'll go first - my terrible terrible full throttle cockney/ essex accent. I hate it and feel very self conscious of the way i sound.
i could have elocution lessons i suppose but it's probably too late for that!!

Not being such a miserable cow a lot of the time. I’ve become very cynical as I’ve aged.

Also I wish I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow every night - something I envy about dh - instead of lying there turning over all kinds of things in my head such as remembering things from when my dcs were younger, like not playing with them enough, and then feeling upset. I feel guilty/not good enough all the time.

Oh and yes, my accent (hearing recordings of myself is utter torture)!

I'd love to be upbeat all the time. My natural state is grumpy 😂

airfresh123 · 01/10/2023 00:22

My drama lama over active brain 😩🤯

NoNeedToHurry · 01/10/2023 00:23

Well I'm typing this from the foetal position in my bed in agony because I've obviously eaten something this evening (went to a dinner party) that has triggered my IBS
So I'd like to get rid of my IBS please. I'm in so much pain

I wish I found it easier to make friends and be more confident. I’m always afraid people won’t like me.

I did used to be awful at making decisions but I’ve worked on that and I’m not as bad now, but it must be lovely to just decide things without making a kind of imaginary decision tree with dozens of branches!

I think fast and get irritated by dithering and indecision - in effect - I'm impatient.

There are other issues.

To learn to think before I speak (age 47 and waiting).

I would have more energy. Then everything becomes possible. I would no longer drag myself through the day. I would enjoy exercise and not constantly rely on sugar to fuel my achy body and foggy brain, therefore I would no longer be fat. This would make me more confident which would motivate me more and I could focus on what I want to achieve in life. I'd be better paid, more respected, happier, less irritable, the list goes on. I'd give anything to just have more energy, it is the source of all positive things.

@NoNeedToHurry Sorry you are so sick. Hope it passes soon xx

My sensitivity to and intense dislike of noise, especially other people's music, heard in my house.

I'd like to grow up with the understanding I was neurodivergent not lazy or weird.

I'm always hesitant to assess a situation or people because of this and it comes across as stand-offish.

I don't trust others to like me even though I am nice and fun.

ebts · 01/10/2023 11:14

Not wanting to please everyone all of the time, and ending up pleasing noone, not least myself!

WrongSwanson · 01/10/2023 11:16

I'd love to be able to sing

PerfectMatch · 01/10/2023 11:22

I'd like to stop snoring please.
