i'll go first - my terrible terrible full throttle cockney/ essex accent. I hate it and feel very self conscious of the way i sound.
i could have elocution lessons i suppose but it's probably too late for that!!

Although if you don’t like your accent then have some voice coaching OP. You can always just soften it. Life is too short to put up with something you don’t like but could change.

Fluffymarsh · 30/09/2023 14:37

Less anxiety please!

I'm sure your accent gives you character :)

KohlaParasaurus · 30/09/2023 14:38

I would have more fast twitch muscle fibres. Sprinting looks much more fun than long distance running.

Tadpolle · 30/09/2023 14:38

I would swap my horrendous tuneless singing voice for a lovely singing voice.

TreeHuggerMum1 · 30/09/2023 14:40

Self doubt, imposter syndrome, anxiety. I guess they’re all linked…

TheNoodlesIncident · 30/09/2023 14:44

Another kicking the beastly autism into touch...

If I was stuck with that, then I'd like perfect eyesight please. I'm too short and definitely get my money's worth out of calories, but lovely vision would be great (without having to have surgery).

Kaill · 30/09/2023 15:04

I would like to not be autistic any more. I wish people wanted to be my friend and employ me. I can’t achieve anything no matter how hard I work, because the gatekeepers always discriminate against me and exclude me. What use is a masters degree if every employer rejects you for having autism?

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 30/09/2023 15:09

I have the tendency to be a bit lazy. I work full time and everything (well, term time only, but I have small dcs so summer is work too)! But on my days off I wish I was someone who would clean their whole house perfectly and then went for a long run and then out every night. I just work, look after kids, eat and sleep and wish I had more going on but I'm too lazy

Exactly this (including the term time only job)! Also I wish I were a bit more adventurous/spontaneous and less anxious about doing things that are outside my comfort zone.

DontGiveMeThatOldCrap · 30/09/2023 15:11

My over-thinking and analysing everything.
My social anxiety (as above)

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 30/09/2023 15:12

Really? I barely run any more, but I always found the idea of a long run at a leisurely pace, cross-country through nice scenery, much more appealing than fast, sweaty stuff!

menopausalmare · 30/09/2023 15:19

I wish my brain was sharper and could hang onto information. When I was a child my brain was like a sponge and could absorb new information easily. These days, it's so woolly and takes a while to learn new stuff.

blancobunny · 30/09/2023 23:35

thankyou for all your replies- my change seems trite and ridiculous compared to what a lot of you are dealing with xx

allsaga · 30/09/2023 23:37

My hearing loss .

bluebeardswife7 · 30/09/2023 23:40

Less awkward.

Autumnunmasks · 30/09/2023 23:45

Wish I wasn't so snippy

Fifireee · 30/09/2023 23:45

Self loathing.
It’s exhausting and tedious.

AtmosAtmos · 30/09/2023 23:47

I feel quite sad that there is a lot I would change. I’ll go for the autism though. Not having autism would make the other stuff much easier.

bakermummy21 · 30/09/2023 23:48

To be more confident

ssd · 30/09/2023 23:49

Blushing when the attention is on me

NumberFortyNorhamGardens · 30/09/2023 23:52

I would be possessed of that thing called motivation. I would be able to Just Do It instead of tying my brain up in knots worrying about consequences or what I really want or why I suddenly lose interest in something I liked the idea of or whether there’s something else out there that’s more worthwhile. Doing something for myself would make sense instead of hitting some blank ‘huh???’ in my head.

MissingMoominMamma · 30/09/2023 23:54

I would’ve planned better for my retirement.

I’d be out adventuring instead of working now.

LegArmpits · 01/10/2023 00:12

I'd be able to burp.

MiniBossFromAus · 01/10/2023 00:14

Relentless, sapping, omnipotent anxiety that has been my shadow for 30 years.

Hellokittymania · 01/10/2023 00:18

I would be more assertive and not let people walk all over me.

DontLeanOnTheKeyboard · 01/10/2023 00:18

Be fucking loaded. I’m not, nowhere near and am consumed with how the fuck we will fund university. Middle income, which means pay for everything, little help for anything.
