online, argos
in charity shops, which is a faff

NoWordForFluffy · 30/09/2023 10:10

What is 'cheap' to you? The Next sale may still have some reasonable ones.

Nagado · 30/09/2023 10:13

At that size it might be cheaper to buy second hand, but if you want new, I’d have a look on the Next website on their clearance section. It is always being updated so hit and miss as to what you find, but they regularly have fantastic bargains on there.

Do you have a B&M, Poundstretcher or similar near you? Apologies if that's not what you mean by cheap.

MyCircumference · 30/09/2023 10:15

Dunelm

fetchacloth · 30/09/2023 10:17

The last set I had were bought from Ponden Home. Their prices are reasonable.

I’ve had some from vinted before, can take a while to search as some people don’t put proper sizes on so filtering is hard but worth a look as will be much cheaper.

parietal · 30/09/2023 10:18

I once bought a duvet cover and cut it along the seams to get 2 v cheap curtains. You can get iron on curtain tape to put along the top. Or sew on loops.

I haven’t looked at the size you want, but this site was really reasonable when we bought for a rental property https://themillshop.co.uk/

Vinted

I've kept an eye for cheap curtains online for a while.

There's a couple of specialists that come up on a search for 'cheap curtains uk' which I've used before and are decent.

But honestly, you'll struggle to find somewhere cheaper than Amazon these days (and I believe the above websites sell through Amazon anyway too).

There used to be a bunch of fabric places in Ancoats in Manchester which sold end of line curtains at rock bottom prices but they went when the area was flattened and were never replaced because everything just went online.

I've been looking for similar that's not online in the last 15 years and never found anything else that comes close.

Amazon is cheaper. Just under £50.

MNetcurtains · 30/09/2023 10:26

Google curtain exchange shops in your area. They sell other peoples second-hand curtains on commission and you can find some really excellent quality curtains at a fraction of the original price.t

I bought plain coloured, blackout curtains on Amazon a while ago, they do the job and do come in various colours. Not sure if they would suit you, but are fine for me.

gotomomo · 30/09/2023 10:33

Dunelm have some for under £40

StanleyGoodspeed · 30/09/2023 10:35

Littens

QuillBill · 30/09/2023 11:08

If you can actually get to a Dunelm they might have some even cheaper.
