Just me and 2 x dc, 6 and 8. We have movie night Fridays. We take it in turns to choose. Sometimes dc choose games night or something instead. We get snacks, and used to get tucked up on the sofa and watch a film together. It was nice.

Recently though, 1 or the other won't watch the film, they start messing around, it's not relaxing/enjoyable.

Can anyone suggest a really funny family film? Things they've enjoyed

Home alone
100% wolf
Spiderman across the spiderverse
Wallace and grommet wererabbit.
Scooby doo

Definitely rewatch any older films yourself before sharing them, the content's a real mixed bag! They might like Monsters Inc, Cars, any of the Smurfs films (live action and all-CGI), the 90s and recent Muppet movies, or the Hotel Transylvania movies?

I'm not a big film watcher so haven't seen/can't remember many if the order ones. Def not watching gremlins, they watched Never ending story at their dad's and were traumatised by that scene (they have a pony!!)

Thanks fof the suggestions, I'll look through them.

Paddington 1.
2 is even better for the addition of Hugh Grant.

I clearly need to rewatch Gremlins! I just remember a cute Gizmo and lots of laughing Gremlins up to a bit of mischief 😳

School of Rock.

I'd go for the absolute classics:

The Incredibles
Shrek
Toy Story (all of the films)

Also maybe:

Ratatouille
Flushed away
Mrs Doubtfire
Mulan
