Anyone knowledgeable about 15 hrs finding for 3year olds and part time - does it affect funding

I know I’m reception parents of summer born dc can choose to be part time the whole year if they want and it’s marked as code ‘X’ on the register.

What’s the situation for a school nursery - of a child has the 15 he’s funding but a parent wants to send them for less hours due to sunmerborn/SEN? Can this still be marked as code ‘X’ or does it affect the funding ?

You don't need to use all of the 15 hours for your child that are funded. But you will need to decide how many hours you actually want to use. So it's fine to say, send him 2 6 hour days (assuming that's fine with your nursery), but you shouldn't book in for 15 hours, and then only send him 2 hours one week and 6 hours the next, as it messes with the funding they can claim (and will quite possibly flag some safeguarding issues, as they expect children who are booked in to attend). Attendance is not counted for preschool in the way it is for school age children.
