Basically, adults bake with kids, some just toddlers, and when it comes to breaking open the egg they do it on the kid’s head with no warning.

Not surprisingly, kid looks shocked, scared and hurt. Adults piss themselves laughing.

If anyone in the street cracked a raw egg on my forehead I would have them done for common assault!

Stupid prank for viral likes, rather than just baking with their kids and making it a nice experience.

I hate all pranks. The only person who finds it funny is the pranker - any other scenario and it would called abuse/bullying/assault but because it's against your kids it's a life lesson and I'm a killjoy. (I hate the ones with dogs as well)

For a while there were "pranks" against strangers in shops etc. I was just starting to get out and about again after suffering with agoraphobia and the reels of it set me right back.

I also hate it. Makes me feel so sad. The kids faces 😔

FlowFle · 29/09/2023 10:55

I hate it too. not even a bit funny

LakeTiticaca · 29/09/2023 10:55

What is it about social media that turns adults into silly teenagers?
Who needs climate change when the human race is eating its self from the inside

Xenomoth · 29/09/2023 10:55

I think it’s terrible. I can’t imagine doing that to my child for ‘laughs.’ They should be ashamed.

DivingForLove · 29/09/2023 10:56

All of those reels just reek of attention seeking shite - don’t get me started on fucking gender reveals 😡

Booklover40 · 29/09/2023 10:57

I actually think that's borderline abusive. And then posting their nasty behaviour online.

In fact I think anyone who posts videos of their child on the internet for "likes" is probably missing the intelligence gene and is to be looked down upon. Wankers.

Oysterbabe · 29/09/2023 10:58

Basically any sort of pranks that involve tricking children for likes fill me with rage. Total cunts.

Lottapianos · 29/09/2023 11:00

Oh my gosh, that's awful. Hurt and scare your child, film it and put it on social media. No, that's not weird at all 🙄

Wiccan · 29/09/2023 11:00

I don't think it's a prank I think it's abuse . The humiliation those poor kids must be feeling . Everything on SM is fucked up .

Oysterbabe · 29/09/2023 11:02

There was one I saw where they gave bowls of crisps to twins, who looked about 3. One bowl was completely full and one had about 4 crisps in it, just to see their reactions. The twin who hardly got any looked at her sister's bowl, put hers down and just tried to hold in her tears, looked completely heart broken. I found it really upsetting.

risefromyourgrave · 29/09/2023 11:09

I saw yesterday a lady did a YouTube short on how horrible this inane trend is.

That’s a good video, but what a shame is needed to point out the obvious

Hate pranks especially prank videos.

Any I've seen are either plain nasty, and make me think the person doing (and filming) is probably pretty unpleasant in real life, or so over the top acted that you're pretty certain the whole lot knew what was coming.

Ostryga · 29/09/2023 12:07

I’m still angry about that fucking cheese ‘prank’ where adults were throwing cheese slices on their tiny babies. Why??? Because some moronic idiots with an IQ of 4 will like a video?

Honestly, I hate parents that use their children on social media for attention anyway, but these pranks piss me off endlessly. Children are not there for adults to build their ego or make money off of.

clipclop5 · 29/09/2023 12:15

Those videos are absolutely disgusting, how could you possibly find that funny? The parents should be ashamed of themselves. All of the kids look hurt and scared by it. Even saw someone do it with their dog the other day, what on earth is society coming to

Enko · 29/09/2023 12:17

Hate them too. Do not get what is funny and actually it's saying hurting someone is ok and funny..

Also hate the older trend of videoing kids with a 5 gallon milk container that is then spilled. Off course its blooming spelled the kid can't balance that. PARENT your child and get off the freaking phone recording. Get your child a drink of milk.

cushioncovers · 29/09/2023 12:24

Yep it's shit. I also hate the ones where they prank animals. The cucumber being placed behind the cat was particularly nasty.

MrsMitford3 · 29/09/2023 12:30

I loathe pranks.

Shock is a very low form of humour -to surprise the recipient and laugh at them and call the surprise a joke. And if they don't find it funny then they can't take a joke.

If you are laughing at someone else's expense to "be funny" then you are a twat.

FoodFann · 29/09/2023 12:33

It’s abusive and the parents need investigating. This latest ‘mumfluencer’ in the states found to be abusing her kids comes as no surprise to me.

Anyone videoing their children and plastering it online publicly, for fame and fortune, need looking at. Should be illegal.

I agree what if the egg shell went into someone's eyes .

mistermagpie · 29/09/2023 12:38

I haven't seen this, but how horrible. I hate pranks and practical jokes anyway, but especially with kids who should be able to trust the adults in their lives.

AmyandPhilipfan · 29/09/2023 12:57

I agree, it's horrible. Not only does it shock them but I bet it actually really hurts! Why would you purposefully inflict pain on your child just for a few 'likes?'

I remember a few years ago there was a YouTube blended family with the dad making the videos. Think it might have been called Daddyof5. He liked to do pranks and they just got worse and worse with him doing things like trashing one of the kids' rooms then blaming another child, usually his own son, really shouting at him and winding the boy up until he was a sobbing mess. Eventually, thankfully, his two biological kids were removed and I think their mum won full custody.

Godwindar · 29/09/2023 12:58

Me too! I think it is a horrible thing to do. The kids are upset by it.

LifeofBrienne · 29/09/2023 13:05

Well this sounds like utter twattery, makes me happy in my choice to never click on those stupid promoted FB reels ever. Serve them right if the kid went full on John Prescott.
