53. Any half presentable men I know , IRL or online, are setting their sights much younger, up to 20 years younger.

Men in their 40s and younger seem to be interested but I suspect that's not good either.

I've always quite liked men and male company, but being back in the dating game has changed my opinion completely.

God so many men are disgusting. But I am positive that there are some decent men out there your own age who would be interested. I don't have any useful advice on how to find them though.

I'm nearly 33 and so many of my exes (the same age or older) are dating women in their late teens/early 20s. I think with someone of them it's not even just the physical attraction aspect, it's also that they never reached the same level of emotional maturity as women their own age and younger women will put up with more shit and expect less from them. I've already accepted if I ever split up with DH I'll probably be single for quite a while.

Yep, men like them younger because as PP said, they'll tolerate their shitty behaviour.

Don't agree... Did OLD for a year in 2018/19 and had numerous dates with perfectly nice normal men aged 45 to 55... Met the 'one' just as covid hit and have been together ever since. For the record I'm 55. I think carefully wording your profile is the key to weeding out the undesirables - I wrote mine and then re wrote it several times! Good luck and don't give up.
